All That You Need To Know About The TS EAMCET

If you want to study engineering in a premier tech college or institute in India, then it is important that you prepare well and achieve high rank in the all India Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). However, if you are not confident about the all India JEE, then you can consider appearing for the state level entrance examinations, like the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance or the TS EAMCET. The TS EAMCET is held on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), to help candidates get admission in various engineering institutes in the state. The TS EAMCET is an examination similar to that of all India JEE, but the scores in the examination can be used to get admission only in colleges and engineering institutes in Telangana. Hence, by obtaining a high score in the TS EAMCET you have a better chance, of getting admission in a renowned tech college in Telangana. However, before you can take the test you must evaluate all aspects of the examination, some of which have been discussed below.

  1. TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria

Like any other engineering entrance examination, the eligibility criteria for TS EAMCET are quite simple. Candidates who are seventeen years as of the last day of December, as per the school admission dates, are eligible to appear for the TS EAMCET. However, you cannot be more than twenty-two years, which will again be evaluated based on your school admission dates. The upper age limit has been fixed at twenty-five for candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) backgrounds. Additionally, you must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in classes eleven and twelve. In other words, only candidates who have taken their intermediary examination in Science stream are eligible for the TS EAMCET. Finally, in order to take the TS EAMCET, you must be a citizen of India or a person of Indian Origin (PIO).

  1. Applying for the TS EAMCET

The application for the TS EAMCET has to be carried out online. In order to apply for the test, you must log into the official website and provide all the requisite details. After giving all details and uploading documents, such as scanned copies of your identity proof, mark sheets or score cards for the class ten and twelve board examinations and other such details, you should click on the ‘Submit’ button. Once, the application process has been completed and the requisite application fee has been paid, you will receive an intimation. It is advisable that you keep a print out the application confirmation, for future use.

  1. Taking the TS EAMCET

Much like any other engineering entrance examination, the TS EAMCET is also a rigorous examination. Thus, proper preparation is of paramount importance, if you want to achieve high scores in the test and get the opportunity to study in a premier engineering institute in Telangana. After taking the test, you will have to wait for the results to be declared because after that the TS EAMCET counselling dates will be announced. It is during the counselling session that you can enlist the colleges that you want to take admission into and the discipline in which you want to pursue engineering.

Thus, in order to ensure good scores in the TS EAMCET, you must prepare well for the examination, obtain high scores and ensure that you book a date, to attend the counselling sessions at the earliest.

After the counselling session is over, students need to report to the allotted college to complete the admission procedure and pay the course fee to register themselves.
